Gary Milam

Gary Milam, age 77 of Springville, TN, died Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

He retired after many years with Mohon International in Paris where he worked in shipping.  He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Paris and a Mason.  Gary enjoyed camping, fishing, and going to flea markets and casinos.  He also enjoyed collecting knives and old coins.

Gary was born March 1, 1943, in Henry, TN, to the late Clarence Goldsby Milam and the late Abbess Lax Milam.

He was married June 29, 1990, to Joan Robison Milam, who survives, of Springville, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by seven children, Tammy (Dale) Brockwell of Paris, TN, Tracy (Clay) Coley of Springville, TN, Tonya (Chris) Hoggard of Paris, TN, Terry (Tina) Milam of Henry, TN, Timmy Milam of Paris, TN, Tony Milam of Paris, TN, and Troy Milam of Paris, TN; three stepchildren, Tammy (Ken) Denning of Texas, Eric (Michelle) Dacus of Texas, and Shannon Round of Indiana; two brothers, Larry Milam of California, and Steve (Diane) Milam of Henry, TN; 14 grandchildren; five step grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a twin brother in infancy, Jerry Milam.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2020, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at New Harmony Baptist Church, 7050 Hwy 69 S, Paris, TN 38242.  The funeral service will be Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 3:00 pm at New Harmony Baptist Church, with Chris Downing and David Critchlow officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Milam, Timmy Milam, Tony Milam, Troy Milam, Clay Coley, and Dale Brockwell.  Named as honorary pallbearers are TJ Milam and Thomas Valentine.

Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Henry, TN.
