Gail Lee Maddox, age 79 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, in Paris, TN.

She was a retired hairstylist and the owner & operator of New Directions in Paris.  She formerly owned and operated The Hanger in Paris.  Gail was a two-time cancer survivor who loved her family, her grandchildren, her Schnauzer Marley, and her Shih-Tzu, Miss Sweetie, who preceded her in death.  She enjoyed traveling and was a world traveler.  She was a master gardener, loved decorating, making wreaths, and cooking.  Gail was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris.  She was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan and Henry County Patriot fan.  Gail loved her community of Paris and she was very patriotic and loved her country.

Gail was born November 26, 1939, in Buchanan, TN, to the late Archie Jackson and the late Edith Wall Jackson.

She was married July 31, 1955, to Jerry M. Maddox, who survives, of Paris, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Sherry Maddox Taylor of Paris, TN, and DeeDee (David) Hinton of Jackson, TN; one sister, Leisa Jackson Newcombe of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Nicole Taylor of Sanford, FL, Adam (Brooklyn) Taylor of Paris, TN, and Erica (Josh) Neighbours of Hendersonville, TN; and six great grandchildren, Danielle Taylor, Waverly Hixon, Beau Taylor, River Taylor, Madeline Neighbours, and Archer Neighbours.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Monday, December 10, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue Tuesday, December 11, 2018, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 313 N. Poplar Street, Paris, TN.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Trent Bullock officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Maddox, Adam Taylor, David Hinton, Josh Neighbours, Homer Maddox, and Jimmy Williams.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
