Frances Lee Riggs Starling, age 92, of Gleason, Tenn., died Friday, October 2, 2015, at Jackson Madison Co. Gen. Hosp. in Jackson, Tenn.
Frances married Dorcie Cleveland Starling in 1936 and he preceded in death March 31, 1971.
She was a member of Tumbling Creek Baptist Church near Gleason. She worked at Dairy Queen in McKenzie for over 30 years. She also owned Fruit Stands for several years in Paris, Camden and Murray and formerly worked at Salant and Salant in Union City. Frances was a talented Pianist and taught piano for many years. She enjoyed quilting, painting, cooking and flying.
She was born November 16, 1922 in Springville, TN to the late Ira Riggs and the late Una Graham Riggs.
She is survived by her Two Daughters, Dorsie Lee (Dorris) Allen of Pilot Oak, Ky, Pat Salmon of Gleason, Tenn; Two Sons, Norman "Drag" (Martha) Starling of Gleason, Tenn, John Starling of Gleason, Tenn; Grandchildren, Dean Davis and Special Friend Lisa Haggard, Dawn Salmon, Johnny (Christie) Salmon, Bo Salmon, Randall (Annette) Allen, and Lori Ann Starling; Great Grandchildren, David (Summer) Davis, Caitlyn Salmon, Ashton Salmon, Kyleigh Salmon, Jennifer Allen, and Amanda Allen; Great Great Grandchildren, Nevaeh Davis, and Wyatt Stewart; and Cousin, Wayne (Nancy) Graham.
Frances was also preceded in death by a Sister, Dottie Riggs.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 8 pm Monday, October 5, 2015 and from 10 am – 1 pm Tuesday, October 6, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
Floyd "Lammie" Lammersfeld will officiate. Pallbearers will be Dean Davis, Johnny Salmon, Randall Allen, David Davis, Ashton Salmon, Nick Stewart, Troy Poff, and Rubin Poff.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.
