Floyd George Parsons, Sr

Floyd George Parsons, Sr, age 73 of Springville, TN, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at his residence.

Floyd was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He worked at Southern Clay Company in production for 13 years prior to the closing of the plant. He then, alongside his wife, owned and operated K9 Corner for 5 years. Floyd finished his working years at Emerson Electric. He had formerly attended Sulphur Well Church of Christ. 

He was born January 21, 1951, in Shickshinny, PA, to the late Kenneth Parsons and the late Violetta Robbins Parsons.

He married Cheryl Zaike Parsons in 1975, and she preceded him in death on November 7, 2000. 

He is survived by his daughter, Tanya (Tony) Hart of Paris, TN; his son, Floyd George (Heather) Parsons, Jr. of Humboldt, TN; five grandchildren, Tiffany L. Parsons, Sarah I. Parsons, Stella Hart, Emmalynn Hart, and Ellianna Hart; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia, and Bonnie; and three brothers, Kenny Parsons, Arthur Parsons, and Terry Parsons.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242. The body is to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
