Flossie Wynn York

Flossie Wynn York age 84, of Paris, TN, died Monday, December 31, 2018, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Flossie was a retired sitter. She thoroughly enjoyed her sitting and caretaking responsibilities. She was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church and loved flowers.

Born February 28, 1934, in Paris, TN, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Wynn and the late Ivie Alma Lemonds Wynn.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Jeff) Tanner of Paris, TN, and Barbara Bratton of Dresden, TN; one son, Terry York of Paris, TN; five sisters, Modena Wheatley of Columbia, TN, Lottie Hooper of Illinois, Velma Bolding of Springville, TN, Margie (Wayne) Nanney of Paris, TN, and Shirley Evans of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Christy (Bobby) Roberson, Rachel (Harley) Courtney, Michael (Jennifer) Cook and David (Samantha) Tanner; nine great grandchildren, Autumn Payne, Britney Payne, Hagan Payne, Olivia Cook, Lilah Cook, Destiny Courtney, Gabe Courtney, Mercadez Tanner, and Braxton Tanner; one great great grandchild, Braxton Payne; several nieces and nephews, and lots of cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Lee Wynn and Lillie Wynn; seven brothers, Willis Wynn, Billy Wynn, Harold Wynn, Wilburn Wynn, Hassel Wynn, Ernie Wynn, and Frank Wynn; one daughter in law, Lisa York.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, January 1, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at 1:00 pm in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Gary Collier and Kevin Gallimore officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Cook, David Tanner, Harley Courtney, Gabe Courtney, David Wynn and Hagan Payne.

Burial will follow the service in the Birds Creek Cemetery, in Paris, TN.
