Florine Vandyke

Florine “Flo” VanDyke, age 77 of Paris, TN, died Friday, February 9, 2018, at Towne Square Care of Puryear in Puryear, TN.

She retired from the Dana Corporation. Before working at Dana, she worked for the Holley Carburetor Plant. Cooking, canning, mowing and working in her yard were hobbies of hers. She enjoyed flowers but showed a fondness for buttercups. Florine loved her family and spending time with them. She was a lifelong member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Florine was born May 1, 1940, in Henry, TN, to the late Claude Andrews and the late Mary Hicks Andrews.

She is survived by three sons: William Richard VanDyke, Jr., Eddie (Amy) VanDyke and Andy (Christy) VanDyke all of Paris, TN; seven grandchildren: Ryan (Mandy) Hamlin, Hunter VanDyke and his fiancée Brittney Plowman, Katie VanDyke, Zach VanDyke, Maggie VanDyke, Ethan VanDyke and Caleb VanDyke; and three great grandchildren: Ellie, Emma and Eden Hamlin; one sister: Gerline Johnson of Maywood, MO; four brothers: Keith (Carol) Andrews of Paris, TN, Tom (Ella) Andrews of Paris, TN, Harold (Juanita) Andrews of Quincy, IL and Joe (Chris) Andrews of Henry, TN.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Louise Wilson and four brothers: James, Tony, John and Lewis Andrews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and continue Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the Paris Community of Christ Church from 11:00 a.m. until her service. Her funeral service will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Paris Community of Christ Church with Dale Gallimore and Dick Cochran officiating.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow the service in the Foundry Hill Community of Christ Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
