Eunice Steele

Eunice Robbins Steele, age 89, of Paris, Tenn., died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at her residence in Paris, Tenn.

She was married September 22, 1945 to Dave Henry Steele he preceded in death September 30, 2013. Eunice grew up in the Elkhorn Community.    She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church, where she was very active and was a former choir member.    She formerly worked at Salant & Salant Co and was a homemaker who loved her family, gardening and her flowers.

Eunice was born June 22, 1925 in Springville, TN to the late Johnnie Shelby Robbins and the late Lola Alice Wimberly Robbins.

She is survived by her One Son,  Phillip D. Steele of Paris, Tenn;  One Daughter-in-law,  Judy Steele of Paris, Tenn;  Four Grandchildren,  Brandi (Scott) Phillips of Lenoir City, TN,  Susanne (Andy) Collins of Henry, TN,   Shane (Chris) Steele of Humboldt, TN,  and  Ken H. Steele of Nashville, TN;   and 6 Great Grandchildren, Garrett Steele and Grayson Carey of Humboldt, TN,   Cameron Collins and Anne Claire Collins of Henry, TN,  and  Hailey Phillips and Jordan Phillips of Lenoir City, TN;   Special Care Givers, Brooke Turner, Amanda Miller, and Sarah Muzzall.

Besides her Husband and Parents, Eunice was also preceded in death by a Son, Paul David Steele;  Sisters, Lucille Sykes, Blanche Wimberly, and Gladys Bowles;  Brothers, Edgar Robbins, Lelon Robbins, and Clint Robbins.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Friday, February 27, 2015 and after 10 am Saturday, February 28, 2015.  The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2015.

Fred Shackelford will officiate.   Pallbearers will be John Robbins, Fred Bowles, Jeff Fletcher, Monroe Robbins, and Louis Robbins.

Interment will be at Palestine Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
