Eugene "Gene" Reagor

Eugene “Gene” Reagor, age 90 of Paris, TN, died Friday, March 8, 2019, at his residence in Paris, TN.

He retired after many years as a self-employed carpenter.  He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Springville.  Gene was a champion cutting horse rider and a stock car champion driver in his younger days.  He loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting, especially bird hunting.  His family was his greatest accomplishment and he adored his daughter and granddaughters.

Gene was born November 13, 1928, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late William E. Reagor and the late Emma Gann Reagor.

He was married June 9, 1951 to Lorine Byrd Reagor, who preceded him in death on September 18, 1999.

He is survived by one daughter, Lana (Jerry) Joyner of Paris, TN; one stepdaughter, Wanda (John) Smith and her family of West Chicago, IL; two brothers, Ed (Nancy) Reagor of Paris, TN, and Dub (Mary) Reagor of Paris, TN; two grandchildren, Christi Cross of Paris, TN, and Jennifer Miller of Benton, KY; seven great grandchildren, Ryan Cross, Madison (Denton) Jordan, Jay Cross, Nathan (Vanessa) Cross, Emma Cross, Sam Cross, and Gavin Miller; and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Irene Adamson; and two brothers, Bob Flanagan and Bill Reagor.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242, where visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Monday, March 11, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Monday, March 11, 2019, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Tony Crossnoe and Todd Henson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ed Reagor, Bob Baldwin, Gavin Miller, Eddie Reagor, Randy Peale, and Milton Peale.

Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
