Ethel Bruce Hall, age 91 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, February 8, 2018, at her son’s residence in Paris.
Ethel was lifelong member of Springhill Baptist Church. She had formerly worked at Salant & Salant for 18 years. She loved singing special music at church, and country dancing for fun and exercise.
Born February 24, 1926 in Dresden, TN, she was the daughter of the late Chilie Buford Hooper and the late Ethel Lorene Maddox Hooper Knott.
Ethel was preceded in death her husband, James Thomas Bruce, who died November 7, 1973.
Survivors include one son, Jack Bruce of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Troy (Jan) Bruce, Amy Rose, Billie Kennedy and Carly Johnson; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Ethel was preceded in death by one son, Jimmie Bruce; three sisters, Lavergne Rogers, Era Mai Conger, and Mary Nell Wimberley; and four brothers, James Hooper, John Hooper, Joe Hooper and Elmo Hooper.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, February 11, 2018, from 12 – 2 pm. Her funeral service will be Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Pallbearers for the service are Troy Bruce, Justin Bruce, John Thomas Rose, Charlie Rose, Jay Kennedy and Keith Hodge.
Burial will follow the service at Bevil Cemetery in Paris, TN.
