Ernest M. Padgette, Jr.

Ernest M. Padgette, Jr., age 89 of Paris, TN, died Friday, September 4, 2020, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Ernie was a retired federal law enforcement officer. He was a U.S. Marine veteran who served in the Korean War. He attended Holy Cross Catholic Church. He enjoyed going to the gym, working in his yard, and oil painting.

Born April 21, 1931, in Goldsboro, NC, he was the son of the late Ernest McInnis Padgett and the late Jennie Grady Padgett.

Ernie married Barbara Jones Padgette September 20, 1974, who survives of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is survived by four children, Deborah Gibson of Loveland, OH, Maureen Padgett of Florida, Ernest Padgett III of Paris, and Susan Padgett of Cambria, CA; a step daughter, Stacy Pereyra of Surprise, AZ, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with no public services planned at this time.
