Ernestine Clendenin Mann

Ernestine Clendenin Mann, age 92 of Paris, died Friday, August 18, 2023, at her residence.

Ernestine worked many years at the Holley Carburetor Plant, being one of the last employees to leave before the plant closed. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the United Auto Workers Union. She loved to travel and raise a garden. Ernestine attended Springville School.

She was first married to James Rowlett, and then Robert D. “Shorty” Mann, both of whom preceded her in death.

Born August 9, 1931, in Springville, she was the daughter of the late James Brooks Clendenin and the late Crystal Easley Clendenin.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki (Johnny) Gibson of Springville; her son Mark (Delia) Mann of Crossville, TN; and a sister, Jane Moody of Florence, AL.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Ernestine was also preceded in death by a son and daughter in law, Steve (Mary) Rowlett, and a sister, Kathleen Jones.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 21, 2023, at 10:00 am at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville. Long time friend and former co worker Wilbur Farmer will be officiating the service.

Burial will follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
