Eric Duane Asher, age 67 of Buchanan, TN, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at his residence.
He worked as a mechanic for Paris Service Center/Kendall True Value Hardware for over 20 years, then retired from Service Rental in Paris. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and supported The Wounded Warrior Project. Eric loved camping, boating, bird watching, rock hunting, Indian artifacts, nature, and anything outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, and friend.
Eric was born January 19, 1957, in Michigan to the late Duane Asher and the late Gretchen Gerber Asher.
He was married to Sharon Ashby Asher, who survives, of Buchanan, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by his children, Zachary (Ashley) Asher of Smiths Grove, KY, and Stacey (Mike) Henderson of Alcoa, TN; three grandchildren, Gracelynn Asher, Blaine Asher, and Noah Asher; and special friends, Baker & Dottie Kendall, Randy McNutt, and Jerry Crouch.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Daniel Eric Asher; and his brother, Ivan Asher.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
