Emma Jean Turner, age 83 of Palmersville, TN, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare-Regional Hospital in Jackson, TN.
She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Dukedom, TN. She formerly worked at Walgreens and enjoyed reading.
Emma Jean was born May 8, 1934, in Traskwood, AR, to the late Sham Davis and the late Myrtle Doles Davis.
She was married August 21, 1972, to Billy Wayne Turner, who survives, of Palmersville, TN.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Betty (Thomas) Gilliland of Dukedom, TN, and Dorothy (Leo) Manuel of Montgomery, LA; seven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Green; and one brother, Johnny Davis.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 1:00 am at Pleasant View Cemetery in Dukedom, TN, with Gary Reagan officiating.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ray Bruce, David Jones, James Simmons, Franklin Simmons, Timothy Gilliland, and Thomas Gilliland.
Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery in Dukedom, TN.
