Elizabeth Guinn Norwood

Elizabeth Guinn Norwood, age 90 of Paris, TN, died Friday, February 2, 2018, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, TN.

She retired from Mar-Kel Lighting as a supervisor of the shade department in 1993.  She graduated from Springville High School where she was valedictorian of her class.  She loved quilting, sewing, and enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening.

Elizabeth was born April 21, 1927, in Tillatoba, MS, to the late James L.H. “Ham” Guinn and the late Willie Etta Kyle Guinn.

She was married January 13, 1946, to Harold Durward Norwood, who preceded her in death on May 20, 1975.

She is survived by two daughters, Shelia (Harrell) Stigall of Paris, TN, and Valerie Norwood Tidwell of Brentwood, TN; one sister, Barbara Trexler of Arden, NC; four grandchildren, Holly Stigall of Thompson Station, TN, Courtney (Jeremy) Teague of Murray, KY, Matthew Tidwell of Brentwood, TN, and Elizabeth Tidwell of Franklin, TN; two great grandchildren, Jake Redfern and Jax Teague; and nine nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Sunday, February 4, 2018, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.  Friends and family will officiate.

Cremation will follow the service, with burial to follow in Spring Creek Cemetery in Springville, TN, at a later date.
