Elizabeth Jane Garner, age 62 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
She was Catholic in faith and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris, TN. She served in U.S. Navy and was also a Navy wife.
Elizabeth was born October 31, 1954, in Cuba, MO, to the late Timothy Benjamin Sagel and the late Mary Cecilia Birmingham Sagel.
She was married February 14, 1976, to Edward Ivan Garner, Sr., who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by one daughter, Angela Marie Garner of Middleburg, FL; one son, Edward Ivan (Virginia Margaret) Garner, Jr., of Middleburg, FL; three sisters, Margaret Hoke of Cuba, MO, Teresa DePauw of Watertown, SD, and Alice Rodriguez of Florissant, MO; four brothers, Albert Sagel of Cuba, MO, Steve Sagel of Visalia, CA, Paul Sagel of Cuba, MO, and Eddie Sagel of Cuba, MO; one granddaughter, Mary Margaret Garner of Middleburg, FL; and twin grandsons, Atticus James Garner and Edward Ivan Garner, III both of Middleburg, FL.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. The body is to be cremated with no public services planned at this time.
