Eleanora "Pat" Nanney

Eleanora “Pat” Nanney age 89 of Paris died Sunday, August 6, 2023, at her residence.

Pat was a long-time member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and missions for 50 years, served as church secretary, and was a member of WMU. She also had worked as a clerk at the Western District Baptist Association. She enjoyed going to church, singing, gardening, and growing flowers.

Born August 12, 1933, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late John Charles Bleier and the late Florence Nightengale Wood Bleier.
Survivors include her children, Pam Coble of Paris, Sherry Newton of Penrose, CO, and Doug (Susan) Rogers of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren; several grandchildren; and her caregivers, Vernie Barnhill, Melanie Rice, and Kathy Barnhill.

Along with her parents, Pat was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Beckham Cobb, Perry B. Rogers, and Ben H. Nanney, Sr.; a son, Darrell Cobb; a son in law, James Coble; and a brother, William John Bleier.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., /P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2023, at the funeral home from 4 until 7 pm, and continue Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Shady Grove Baptist Church 4972 Shady Grove Rd., Paris, TN 38242, after 10 am until the time of the service. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Shady Grove Baptist Church at 11 am with Roger Cooper and Jimmy Stairs officiating. 

Friends and church members will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
