Elbert Wayne Rooker

Elbert Wayne Rooker, age 70 of Puryear, TN, formerly of Rutherford, TN, died Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris.

He retired after many years as a carpenter and cabinet maker.  Wayne enjoyed working on grandfather clocks, restoring old tractors, and loved going to flea markets.

Wayne was born April 8, 1951, in Ardmore, AL, to the late Elbert Keith Rooker and the late Sarah Frances Mitchell Rooker.

He is survived by his three daughters, Amanda (Jonathan) Haycraft of Virginia Beach, VA, Jenna Rooker of Orlando, FL, and Wendy (Landon) Oliver of Beech Bluff, TN; two sisters, Kathy (Jackie) Taylor of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Pam (Jimmy) Lynch of Ardmore, AL; one brother, Paul Rooker of Lawrenceburg, TN; three grandchildren, Logan Haycraft, Barrett Haycraft, Malina Haycraft, and one grandson on the way, Cooper Oliver; and special friend, Charlotte Ralls of Puryear, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda Rooker Green; and three brothers, Jim Rooker, Ronnie Rooker, and Kenneth Dwight Rooker.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
