Edward Lee Levitt, age 78 of Paris, TN, died Monday, August 24, 2020, at his home with his family by his side.
He was a retired truck driver, who served in the US Army where he learned his trade. Edward attended Tumbling Creek Baptist Church in Gleason, TN. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, wood working, and doing anything with his hands.
Edward was born September 4, 1941, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late George Riley Levitt and to the late Grace Esther Ayers Levitt.
He married on August 27, 1966, to Sandra Kay Marlin Levitt, who survives of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Mark) Oseman of Union City, TN, Lori (John Cherry) Levitt of Paris, and Tracy (Chris Nolen) Levitt of Paris, TN; four sisters, Betty Pennington, Nancy Brown, Libby Albright, and Linda Gail Snider; four brothers, William Levitt, George Levitt, Jerry Wayne Levitt, and Jackie Levitt; six grandchildren, Justin Bowles of Paris, Whitney (Blake) Dinning of Gleason, Zachary (Casey) Browning of Fulton, KY, Megan Williams of Paris, Heather Bowles of Paris, and Madison Williams of Paris, TN; five great grandchildren, Ashton Bowles of Paris, Madden Webb of Paris, Blakelee Dinning of Gleason, Henley Webb of Paris, and Willow Dinning of Gleason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Lee Levitt; one sister, Ruby Smith; and two brothers, Howard Levitt, and Donnie Levitt.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a private memorial service to be held at a later date.
