Edith Bomar age 93 of Paris, died Saturday, January 9, 2021, at AHC of Paris.
She retired after working many years at the Remnant House. Edith was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, and a member of the Sanders Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, quilting, calling Bingo, watching game shows, working on crossword puzzles, and playing cards.
Edith was born November 6, 1927, in Paris to the late Clyde Robinson and to the late Kate Weaks Robinson.
She was married June 13, 1981, to Bobby Bomar, who preceded her in death July 24, 2006.
Edith is survived by a stepdaughter, Brenda (Ronnie) Conger of Paris; two sons in law, Joe Cherry of Paris, and Charles French of Paris; 11 grandchildren, Marsha Taylor, Joe (Marcy) Cherry, Suzy (Adam) Yost, Tara (Ronnie) McDaniel, Amanda Crouch, Christa (Andy) Tyler, Angie Jones, Christina (Tommy) Overcast, Todd (Bonnie) French, Chad (Ginger) French, and Casey (Jeremiah) Cole; 27 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Cherry and Gail Crouch; a stepdaughter, Wanda French; three sisters, Mildred Drummond, Sarah Cherry, and Juanita Mann; and two brothers, J.C. Robinson, and Carl Robinson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, 2021, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Parrish, Tommy Robinson, Adam Yost, Tommy Overcast, Ronnie McDaniel, and Joe Cherry.
Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery in Paris.
