Frances Earline York, age 79 of Puryear, TN, died Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Paris, where she served for many years and held various positions. She loved to sew and was heavily involved in Boy Scouts in Memphis, TN, where she enjoyed being a Cub Scout leader, especially the Tiger Cubs. Being an Army veteran herself, Earline spent many hours volunteering for the USO. She and her husband were formerly involved in the student foreign exchange program.
Earline was born May 19, 1941, in West Helena, AR, to the late Walter Earl Picheloupe and the late Frances Christine Post Picheloupe.
She was married November 21, 1992, to Paul Robert York, who survives, of Puryear, TN.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by her son, Walter Joe Beard of Dallas, GA; one sister, Betty Sue (Dan) Newcomb of Memphis, TN; and one brother, Ellis Earl (Sue) Picheloupe of Greenfield, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, James Clifford Picheloupe, Wallace Eugene Picheloupe, and Floyd Elmer Picheloupe.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
