A memorial service for retired self-employed businessman Earl J. French of Paris will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Jimmy Allison will officiate.
Visitation will be after noon Saturday.
French, 79, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
His body was cremated.
His wife, Chloe Ann Brewer French, survives. They were married on Sept. 28, 1953.
Born Aug. 13, 1934, in Springville, he was a son of the late Early and Ada Lee Jones French.
French attended Fairview Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling in his recreational vehicle with his beloved dog Pixie.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters: Kathy (Thomas) Pafford of Springville and Sherry (Jason) Dickson of Lebanon; a daughter-in-law: Kathi Perry French of Franklin; Three sisters: Vivian Lowe of Paris, Lillian “Polly” Holland of Springville and Hazel Patterson of Muskegon, Mich.; one brother: Kenneth Ray French of Paris; and four grandchildren: Michael French and Austin, Karmen and Korin Dickson.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Pamela French; two sons: Gary Dean French and Larry Neal French; three sisters: Earline Turner and two others in infancy; two brothers: Joe French and one in infancy; and two grandchildren: Jacob Neal Pafford and Micah Thomas Pafford.
