Dennis maintained his interest in electronics and became a licensed ham radio operator in the 1970’s. With his radio and communication experience he worked with the Henry County Emergency Management Agency and was involved in Emergency Communications and Disaster preparedness for the Paris community and West Tennessee. As a licensed pilot Dennis stayed active in the aviation and was a member of the EAA – Experimental Aircraft Association. His love of barbeque led him to many competitions and ultimately becoming a certified Kansas City Barbeque Society judge. Dennis was a member of the NRA and active in the community of Paris as a supporter of the Paris Henry County Arts Council and Holy Cross Catholic Church.
