Douglas Wayne “Doug” Mosley, age 70 of Paris, TN, died Friday November 11, 2016 at his residence.

Doug was a member of Palestine Methodist Church and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.    He retired as a teacher from Red Bank High School in Chattanooga, TN and was a former teacher at Henry County High School. Doug received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Memphis State University.

Doug was born October 27, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN, the son of the late Ernest Mosley and the late Louise Luttrell Mosley.

He was married on March 21, 2006 to Beverley Green Mosley and she survives.  He is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer Cronin of Paris, TN, and Deena (Gary) Nance of Paris, TN; two step-daughters, Stephanie (Dan) Keele of Paris, TN, and Lorie (David) Goodgine of Paris, TN; one step-son, Joel (Athena) Scott of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Brenda (Mike) Adams of Germantown, TN;  and Brother in law Steve Greene of Paris.

Additional survivors include his six grandchildren: Ethan and Elizabeth Cronin, Morgan, Alli, Jordan and Kenzie Nance; and six step grandchildren: Aaron and Brenden Keele, Blake (Hannah) Goodgine, Jack Scott, Megan and Lexie Potter ; and one nephew, Drew Adams.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242.  His body is to be cremated.  A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Cemetery with Roger Veazey officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6:00 – 7:00 PM with Dr. Rob Martin conducting a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM.
