Douglas Scott "Doug" Anstey

Douglas Scott “Doug” Anstey, age 60 of Buchanan, TN, died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at his residence.

Doug graduated from Henry County High School and was the owner & operator of Doug Anstey Gas Specialties.  A skilled handyman whose diligence and willingness to help others won him many friends and loyal customers. He enjoyed grilling, cooking, and hosting get-togethers where getting a laugh out of his guests was a top priority. Doug loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren...teaching them the art of sarcasm and patience. 

He was born November 17, 1962, in Medina, NY, to the late Norman Anstey and the late Doris Schaal Anstey. 

He is survived by his daughter, Tara (Rusty) Parker of Germantown, TN; his fiancée, Celinda Keech of Buchanan, TN; one sister, Cynthia (Richard) Hellert of Lyndonville, NY; two brothers, Brian (Pamela Bloom) Anstey of Bloomfield Hills, MI; and Brad (Pamela Tuohey) Anstey of Medina, NY; and two grandchildren, Della Parker and Grey Parker.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
