Dorothy Mae “Dot” Myatt, age 89 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at her residence in Paris, TN.
She retired after a 26-year career with Emerson Electric in Paris. Dorothy loved reading and gardening and enjoyed traveling and sightseeing with her husband when he was living. She was a member of East Wood Church of Christ in Paris.
Dorothy was born August 12, 1929, in Springville, TN, to the late Green Brooks Easley and the late Robbie Williams Easley.
She was married October 2, 1948, to Dalton Hampton Myatt, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2006.
She is survived by two sons, Roger Dalton (Anita) Myatt of Chattanooga, TN, and Michael (Soth Soeun) Myatt of Paris, TN; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Easley of Camden, TN; and four grandchildren, Brooke Myatt, Valerie Myatt, Jacob Myatt, and Davian Myatt.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roland Easley and Robert Easley.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 9:00 am – 10:30 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2620 East Wood Street, Paris, TN 38242, with Roger Banks officiating.
Pallbearers will be Roger Myatt, Michael Myatt, Lavelle Davidson, Jimmy Myatt, and Jacob Myatt.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
