Dorothy Newcomb

Dorothy Marie Newcomb, age 89, of Paris, Tenn., died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Morningside of Paris.  She married December 25, 1947 to Robert D. Newcomb who died August 7, 1985.  She was a member of Mill Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, a homemaker that formerly worked with Civil Service and did volunteer work for the USO, Puryear School, Henry Co. High School, Girl Scouts and the Puryear Cub Scouts.

She was the daughter of the late Julius Borman and the late Lillian Mae Kimball Borman.

She is survived by her Daughter :Robin (William) Bell of Norris, Tenn., her son: Robert (Kristi) Newcomb of Puryear, Tenn. Three grandchildren: William (Chelsea) Cantrell, Stewart (Ashli) Newcomb, Warren Newcomb and a great grandchild: Woodrow Cantrell.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister: Helen Thacker.

Pallbearers for the service are: William Cantrell, Stewart Newcomb, Warren Newcomb, Gray Jaco, Beau Jaco and Don Jones.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. - P.O. Box 788, Paris, Tenn., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, September  1, 2015 and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Wednesday, September  2, 2015.  Graveside Services will be held at  Ft. Donelson National Cemetery at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September  2, 2015 ,  with Rev. Dr. Anne Hames officiating.

Interment will be at Ft. Donelson Cemetery in Dover, Tenn.
