Doris Delaney

Doris Ann Carlton Delaney, age 83, of Springville, Tenn., died Monday, March  9, 2015, at her residence in Springville, Tenn.

She was married to Robert T. Delaney, September 29, 1956 and he preceded in death August 28, 2010.    She was a member of the Sand Hill Baptist Church in Gleason, TN.   She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and taking care of her dogs.  She was a retired supervisor at the Milan Arsenal and she had formerly lived in the Milan, Dresden and McKenzie areas..  .

She was born August 25, 1931 in Jackson, TN to the late Bill Carlton and the late Ruby Walker Carlton.

She is survived by her  One Son,  Buddy Hughes of Springville, Tenn;  One Sister,  Lynda (Terry) Warren of Milan, Tenn; and her beloved pets, Sugar and Hobo Delaney.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St. Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 11 am – 2 pm  Wednesday, March 11, 2015.    The Funeral service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2015.

Dr. Trent Bullock will officiate.     Pallbearers will be Paul Cry, Emory Bradley, Daron Harrison, Hal T. Burke, Dan Tharpe, Friedel Carlton, Reddie King and Terry Warren.

Interment will be at Double Springs Cemetery near Humboldt, Tenn.
