Donna Marie La May Swor

Donna Marie La May Swor, age 90 of Paris, TN, passed peacefully from this life at her home in Paris on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Donna was born in The Dalles, OR, to the late John Thomas La May and the late Edna Edgett La May on May 23, 1932.

In 1950, Donna began her career work with the Federal Government and while with the Veteran’s Administration that sent her to assignments in pre-statehood Hawaii, San Diego, CA, and Tucson, AZ.  She retired in 1997 to Maui, HI where she lived until 2013.  While in Hawaii, Donna traveled the world and visited Henry County many times with her husband, James H. Swor.  After a seven-year stint in Flagler Beach, FL, she and James made Paris their new home.

Donna leaves behind her husband, James H. Swor of Paris; a brother, James Jay (Roxanne) Thomas of Auburn, WA; a sister, Robin Thorsen and niece Jan (Rickey) Ordoyne of Dora, MO; and a nephew, Mark (Kaori) Thomas of San Francisco, CA.

Mrs. Swor’s cremated remains will be placed at Swor Cemetery in Buchanan.  Pastor David Alan Jackson will preside.
