Donald G. Brown

Donald G. Brown, age 85 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center.

He retired as a superintendent from General Tire in Mayfield, KY, after 34 years, then worked for E.W. Electric for in Paris for 15 years.  Donald served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a former Henry County Commissioner.  He was a volunteer fireman with the Oakland Community Fire Department and the Wingo, KY Fire Department.  He enjoyed farming and gardening and was a member of New Bethel Church of Christ.

Donald was born June 27, 1936, in Paris, TN, to the late Albert T. Brown and the late Treva Lasater Moody Brown.

He was married October 2, 1964, to Mary Sandra Hughes Brown, who survives, of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by three children, Steve (Dawn) Brown of Paris, Christy (Darren) Roberson of Springville, TN, and Kellie (Henry) Rendleman of Franklin, TN; two sisters, Norma (Bill) Gandy of Nashville, TN, and Willo Brown Clark of Paris; two brothers, Ronald (Sue) Brown of Paris, and John W. (Rosemary) Brown of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Brown; one son, Johnny Beckwith; and twin granddaughters, Kayla & Karla Brown.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Sunday, July 25, 2021, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Sunday, July 25, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Charles Cate officiating.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery in Paris, TN.
