Donald “Donnie” Wayne Winchester, age 69, of Paris, TN, died Friday, September 30, 2016, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He was a lifelong painter and contractor of 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman, who loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Donnie was born March 21, 1947, in Paris, TN, to the late Waddy Winchester and the late Mary Burnett Winchester.
He was married August 26, 1964 to Donna Warren Winchester, who survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, Ricky (Sheila) Winchester of Paris, TN; one sister, Brenda (Dale) Smith of Paris, TN; one brother, Jim Winchester of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Cody Winchester, Autumn Winchester, Riley Winchester, and MaCrae Winchester; one great-grandchild, Jasper Giesler; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Boyke, Shelby Jean Winchester, and Carolyn Winchester; and a brother, Ray Winchester.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, where visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2016, and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Ridgeway Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Scott Solowey and Josh Solowey will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Cody Winchester, Jim Winchester, Stacey Winchester, Steve Crouch, Jacky Crouch, and Josh Solowey.
Interment will be at Bethesda Cemetery in Paris, TN.
