Donald Ray “Don” Thompson, age 74, of Paris, Tenn., died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his residence in Paris, Tenn.
He was a retired Safety Supervisor for Lehman Roberts Asphalt & Paving in Memphis, TN and was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.
Don was born on July 9, 1941, in Fulton, KY, to his father, the late John Thompson and mother, Earline Brown Thompson of Somerville, SC.
Don was married December 13, 1961 to Barbara Raymer Thompson of Paris, TN, who survives. Besides his wife, and mother, he is survived by two Sons, Jeffery "Jeff" (Sheryl) Thompson of Paris, Tenn., and Keith (Samantha) Thompson of Paris, Tenn.; one Sister, Brenda (Mike) Lykins of South Carolina; one Brother, Richard Thompson of Fulton, Ky.; two Grandchildren, Jeffery Thompson, Jr. of Mississippi, and Ryan Thompson of Paris, TN; one Great-grandchild, Jayden Thompson; Mother-in-law, Dot Raymer of Paris, TN; Brother-in-law, Chuck (Peggy) Raymer of Springville, TN; and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St.,Paris, TN. The body is to be cremated.
Memorial Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 12 – 2 pm Saturday, May 14, 2016 with a Memorial Service at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 14, 2016, with Emily Walker officiating.
