Donald A. "Pizza Man" Lax

Donald A. “Pizza Man” Lax, age 59 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, January 1, 2023, at his residence.

He was a self-employed surveyor for L.I. Smith for many years.  He enjoyed fishing and gardening.  Donald loved all sports, especially NASCAR, and was an avid Tennessee Titans and Chicago Cubs fan.  He enjoyed and was a fan of John Wayne.

Donald was born October 23, 1963, in Chicago, IL, to the late Robert Allen Lax and the late Eva Carolyn Richardson.

He was married in 1995 to Angelia Birdsong Lax, who survives, of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by two children, Nikki (Aaron) Lax of Australia, and Autumn (Austin) Lax of Paris; two sisters, Sara (Mitchell Moon) Robertson-Moon of Paris, and Cathy Lax Schultz of Paris; one brother, Timothy Lax of Paris; and an aunt, Patricia Thompson of Paris who helped raise him.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with David Alan Jackson officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Robertson, Michael Decker, Jamey Coe, Keith Rogers, Kevin Smothers, and Bobby Coe.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Johnnie Coe, Harlie Coe, Madi Wallace, Nathan Coe, Abi Decker, Jonah Morrison, Joseph Robertson, and Kayla Smothers.

Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Buchanan, TN.
