Donald Sanders

Donald Sanders, age 75 of Paris, died Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Donald was a member of West Paris Baptist Church.  He was retired from his independently owned construction company, and formerly worked at Champion Homes. He was a member of the Tennessee National Guard from 1962-1968. He also loved the St. Louis Cardinals and was a founding member of the Paris Moose Lodge.

Donald was born June 4, 1941 in St Louis, MO, to the late Prince Albert Sanders and the late Mary L. Norwood Sanders.

Donald married Mary Louise Moon Sanders on June 19, 1976 and she survives of Paris, TN; He is also survived by one daughter, Kelly Sanders-Kelley of Nashville, TN; two sons, Michael (Kathleen) Sanders of Franklin, TN, and William (Gwen) Sanders of Brentwood, TN; one step daughter, Kristy Conger of Knoxville, TN; two sisters, Dianne (Glenn) Hicks of Atwood, TN, and Judy Scammerhorn of Paris, TN; seven grandchildren, Morgan Limbaugh, Chase Kelley, Luke Sanders, Owen Sanders, Madeline Sanders, Nolan Sanders and Colin Sanders; and two great grandchildren, Sophia Pierce and Charlestyn Kate Pierce.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:00 am in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN with Entombment to follow in Memorial Cemetery in Paris.  Rev. Robert Prosser will officiate.  Rick Smith, Robby Miller, Richard Dunlap, Sam Mahan, Chase Kelley, Michael Murphey, Michael Sanders, and William Sanders will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris and on Saturday, December 3, 2016 after 9:00 am until the service at 10:00 am.
