Donald Sanders

Donald L. “Don” Sanders, age 67, of Puryear, Tenn., went to be with the Lord Friday, May  9, 2014, at his residence in Puryear, Tenn.

He was married December 20, 2005 to Donna K. Sanders and she survives.   Don was a US Army veteran and a Member of Puryear United Methodist Church.    He was a former welder and fabricator in Mississippi, Indiana, & South Carolina.   He loved deer hunting, fishing and conversation over a cup of coffee or a glass of tea.   Don will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

He was born June 21, 1946 in Canton, MS to the late James Sanders and the late Ruby Hall Sanders.

Besides his wife, Don is also survived by his One Daughter,  Kristine Sanders Barton of Lucedale, Miss;  One Son,  Daniel (Angie) Sanders of Munford, Tenn;  Four Sisters,  JoAnn (Edwin) Harris of Vicksburg, Miss,  Mary Nell Bass of Vicksburg, Miss,  Debbie (Marvin) Breland of Vicksburg, Miss,  Betty Jean Parta of Slidell, La;  Three Brothers,  Jack Sanders of Vicksburg, Miss,  Emmett Sanders of Texas,  Billy Sanders of Vicksburg, Miss;  and Grandchildren, Lesley Brookes Barton, Sierra Sanders, Devyn Sanders.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Sue Sanders;  Sisters, Patsy Watley and Nancy Nettles; and Grandson, Kristopher W. Barton.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, Tenn.

A memorial visitation will be Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6 – 7 pm at Puryear United Methodist Church Christian Life Center with a Celebration of Life to be held at 7:00 PM.

Rev. Latricia Trull will officiate.
