Donald Doyle "Donnie" Hatcher, Jr.

Donald Doyle “Donnie” Hatcher, Jr., age 65 of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Henry County Healthcare in Paris, TN.

He retired after many years of work in several factories in Murray, KY.  Donnie enjoyed reading, building models, and was a very quiet and simple man.  He was a member of McKenzie Church of God, where he led singing for many years, and a U.S. Army veteran.

Donnie was born October 7, 1958, in Alton, IL, to the late Donald Doyle Hatcher, Sr., and the late Barbara Ann Hausman Kemp.

He was married to Carolyn Wade Hatcher, who survives, of Puryear, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by four stepchildren, James (Kate) Whalin of Dyer, TN, Donna Williams of Puryear, TN, Karen Penick of Wildersville, TN, and Betty (Paul) Myrick of Murray, KY; four sisters, Lisa Barnhart of McKenzie, TN, Jean Harris of McKenzie, TN, Jane Franklin of McKenzie, TN, and Verneda Hatcher of Jackson, TN; one brother, Kenneth (Shannon) Hatcher of Las Vegas, NV; and several step grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.
