John Donald “Don” Greene, age 79, of Paris, TN, died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at his residence in Paris, TN.
Don retired from Emerson Electric in Paris, TN, and formerly worked at Clippard and Celotex. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening and hunting.
He was born February 24, 1938, in Paris, TN, to the late John Henry Greene and the late Mary Lena Greene.
He was married June 14, 1958, to Ruth Naomi Boothe Greene, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Julie (Wayman) Millis of Paris, TN, and Sharon Greene of Paris, TN; one son, Donovan (Christy) Greene of Paris, TN; five grandchildren, Sam Greene, Ethen Krietz, Jonathan Greene, Stephanie Greene, and Logan James; and two great grandchildren, Connor Lund-Greene and Gabe Greene.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Chris Allen Greene; four sisters, Irene Hunziker, Bessie Holley, Laverne Owens, and Jeanette Hannah; two brothers, Clint Green and Aubrey Greene, and two in infancy.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Greene Family Cemetery in Paris, TN, with burial to follow. Randy Stephens will officiate.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
