Donald Ray Green

Donald Ray Green, age 75 of Springville, TN, died Friday, November 10, 2023, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.
 
Donald was a retired supervisor from Southwest Porcelain in Sand Springs, OK. He loved to work in his yard, smash cans that his neighbors brought to him, and host pool tournaments with the Next Generation Gang in order to teach them the real way to play pool.  Donald loved his Dallas Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners.  He attended TVCC in Paris.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending any activities at which they were involved.  He enjoyed watching them grow up and teaching them how to do new things like how to drive or mow.  The grandchildren loved watching movies with him and listening to Elivs.
 
He was married July 31, 2009, to Joan Hutcherson Green, who survives, of Springville, TN.
 
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by four children, Laura (Jerry) King of Jay, OK, Genawae (Josh Underwood) Collins of Paris, Tara Stout of Paris, and Jordan (Alisha) Stout of Springville, TN; nine grandchildren, Emma, Annabelle, Gunner, and Briar Collins, Brayden and Jaxon Stout, and Bub, Misty, and Brook King; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and their families in Oklahoma.
 
Along with his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Marlene (Ed) Copeland; his twin sister and brother-in-law, Donna Kay (Tommy) Minney; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin (Ruth) Green; a stepson, Tommy Lynn; a great nephew, Eddie Copeland; a great niece, Ashley Minney; and a great-great nephew, Jayce Ryan Hughes.
 
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the services.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, with the graveside service to be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN with Brian Wimberley officiating. 
 
Pallbearers for the service will be Gunner Collins, Briar Collins, Jordan Stout, Josh Wooten, Ricky Melton, Ben Bomar, Josh Underwood, and Shawn Largent.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Randy Mitchell, Mike Green, Jacob Green, Anthony Green, Pete Minney, Russell Minney, Jeff Collins, Bub King, and Terry Starling.
 
Burial will follow the service in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
