Dolores Rice

Dolores Catherine Rice, age 97 of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Paris, TN, died Sunday May 29, 2016 at Namaste Alzheimer Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

Dolores was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church when living in Paris, TN.  She loved singing and watching sports on TV.  She was a homemaker and worked a short time as a secretary in St. Louis, MO.

Dolores was born December 17, 1918 in St. Louis, MO to the late Robert Leroy Zimmerman and the late Matilda Walk Zimmerman.

Dolores was married on March 11, 1939 to James Edward Rice and he preceded in death on March 12, 2001.

She is survived by two Daughters, Sharyn (Steve) Creamer of St. Louis, MO, and Beverly Zinke of Colorado Springs, CO.   Dolores had six grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Besides her Husband and Parents, She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marian Thuerwaechter.

Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be Thursday June 9, 2016 from 11 am - 1 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm Thursday June 9, 2016 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.   Jerry Lee will officiate and family members will serve as Pallbearers. Burial will follow in the Point Pleasant Cemetery.
