Diane Joan Rathof age 71, of Paris died Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Paris Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Frederick “Fritz” Rathof of Paris.
Diane formerly was a waitress at Eaker’s Café. She was of Native American descent with family ties to the Cherokee Tribe. Riding motorcycles together with her husband was a past hobby of hers.
Born August 20, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA, She was the daughter of the late Joseph Gaffney and Bernadette Shreeves Gaffney who lives in Philadelphia, PA.
In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include: two sons: Michael (Kim) Forstater of Staton Island, NY and Brian Forstater of Wildwood, NJ; nine step children: Frederick “Fred” Rathof of Philadelphia, PA, Thomas (Rose) Rathof of Mickleton, NJ, Elizabeth (Dennis) LeDonne of Pilesgrove, NJ, Mary Rathof of Myrtle Beach, SC, Lois (Steve) Jingeleski of Woodstown, NJ, Theresa Bross of Lakeland, FL, James (Angelica) Rathof of Swedesboro, NJ, Eric (Heather) Rathof of Carneys Point, NJ and Laura (Bruce) Hahn of Mullica Hill, NJ. Two Sisters: Bernadette (Mike) Dean of Gaithersburg, MD and Mary Ellen Kane of Philadelphia, PA; a brother: Joseph Gaffney, Jr. of Voorhees, NJ; 24 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a brother: William Gaffney and a step son: Karl Rathof.
Her body is to be cremated.
