Dewey Lee "Bud" Hudspeth
July 31, 1931 — December 31, 2017
Rev. Dewey “Bud” Hudspeth, age 86, entered into Heaven on Sunday evening, December 31, 2017 after his long battle with ALS, (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by 2 children, Carol Hudspeth Stoecker and Randall Keith Hudspeth.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nora Sue Keymon Hudspeth and two daughters, Deana Hudspeth Scognamillo (John), and Niki Hudspeth Link (Rod). 7 Grandchildren: Chad Stoecker (Michelle), Amy Stoecker Foster (Chris), Kelly Stoecker Bailey (Bob), Tyler Dufrene, Tessa Dufrene, Parker Link, Payton Link. 10 Great Grandchildren: Chad Ryan, Cole, Kasey, Dominic, Nevaeh, Aidan, Elliot, Megan, Devon, Dylan.
Rev. Hudspeth enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his military service, he and wife Nora Sue Keymon Hudspeth, began full-time ministry and became ordained with the Assemblies of God. Over the course of 56 years, they pastored churches throughout the states of Tennessee, Illinois, Arkansas and Louisiana; spreading the good news of God’s unfailing love and never ending mercy. He showed the true love of Jesus daily, unwavering in his faith which was evident by the great number of calls, cards and letters received by those he influenced. His legacy continues as many of his children and grandchildren followed his lead by serving in full-time ministry throughout New Jersey, Missouri, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and even across the world through Missionary work.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 5 - 8 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home and continue on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 10 - 11 am at Bridge of Hope in Paris with the Funeral Service at 11:00 am Thursday at Bridge of Hope.
