Deborah "Debbie" Hobson

Deborah “Debbie” Hobson, age 64 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

She enjoyed crafts, landscaping, and loved animals.  She also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and traveling.  Debbie loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was known to say, “I’ve had a good life,” and her motto was “No tears. laughter always.  No matter what.”

Debbie was born February 25, 1954, in Terre Haute, IN, to the late Floyd Samuel Cummings, Sr., and Ila Mae Blaine Cummings.

She was married July 19, 1975, to Dennis Hobson, who preceded her in death on September 25, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters, Marcy Hobson of Lawton, OK, and Mindy (Joseph) Stricker of Ringgold, GA; one son, Denny (Mandy) Hobson of Paris, TN; four sisters, Marsha (Jim) Camp of Riley, IN, Becky (Eddie) Rogers of Beecher City, IL, Pat McPherson of Portsmouth, VA, and Brenda Goodman of Loogootee, IN; one brother, Sam Cummings, Jr., of Loogootee, IN; one sister-in-law, Judy (Dave) Tabbert of Stewardson, IL; 10 grandchildren, Luke Vallery, Emily Vallery, Reagan Vallery, Carter Vallery, Briana Hobson, Abigail Hobson, Jacob Hobson, Joey Stricker, Maggie Stricker, and JD Stricker; four great grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Josie.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Marci Lynn Stricker.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  The body is to be cremated.  Memorial visitation will be Thursday, August 2, 2018, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Bridge of Hope, 1575 Highway 641 South, Paris, TN 38242, with the memorial service to begin at 5:00 p.m. with Denny Hobson and Harold Stricker officiating.
