David M. Meketi

David M. Meketi, age 72 of Buchanan, TN, died Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Born June 26, 1946, in Greenwood, MS, he was the son of the late John Meketi and the late Elizabeth Collins Meketi.

He married Gerri Ann Martinolich Meketi November 7, 1981, who survives in Buchanan.

David was a retired Millwright and had previously served for 12 years in the United States Navy. David served 10 years as the Post Commander for the American Legion Post 89 in Springville. He loved his dogs, the Chicago Cubs, and fishing. David was Catholic in faith.

Along with his wife, survivors include two sisters, Paula (Ronnie) Scott of Paris, and Kathy (John) Pechavar of Edgewater, FL; three brothers, Mark Meketi of Paris, John “Jack” (Marie) Meketi of Arkansas, and Tom (Sylvia) Meketi of Bosque, New Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two sisters, Laurie Meketi and Marcia Page, and a brother, Dale Meketi.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242 is handling the arrangements.

His body is to be cremated with no services planned at this time.
