David Turner

David Austin Turner, age 76 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday January 20, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

David was a member of East Wood Church of Christ.   He retired after 25 years with the Paris Fire Dept.   He was also the owner of Turner’s Lawn Service.  David enjoyed working hard, going to church and spending time with his family and friends.

He was born August 5, 1939 in Palmersville, TN to the late Hancle Jett Turner and the late Jessie Lee Austin Turner.

David is survived by one Son, Mike (Cindy) Turner of Paris, TN;  two Sisters, and  Betty (Lucky) Hanks of Memphis, TN,  Marie (Phil) McFall of Collierville, TN;  two Grandchildren,  Heather (Justin) McSwain of Paris, TN and Michael (Amy) Turner of Paris, TN;   four Great Grandchildren,  Turner Austin McSwain, John Evan McSwain, Cannon Michael Turner, and Blaine Garrett Turner;   And his Special Friend, Lucille Claxton of Paris, TN.

Besides his parents, David was also preceded in death by a brother, H.J. Turner.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Thursday January 21, 2016 and from 11 am – 1 pm Friday January 22, 2016.   The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Friday January 22, 2016.

Victor E. Eskew and Claytus Wilson will officiate.   Pallbearers will be David Harrison, Curtis Neal, Bobby Burke, Troy Bruce, Wendall Flanagan, Kelly Burke, and Rick Moody.     Retired City of Paris Firemen are named as Honorary Pallbearers.

Interment will be in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN.
