David Mahan, age 70 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.
He was a 1970 graduate of the Tunica Institute of Learning in Tunica, MS. In his 70 years of living, he held several jobs including a professional dance instructor, a milk route salesman, and a farmer, where he farmed with his father, Burl, and his brother Carter. After farming he worked in the casino as a Blackjack dealer. He later moved to Buchanan, TN, to live with his brother Carter. After their father’s death, he moved in with his mother in Paris, where he spent his final years. He loved fishing, hunting, and working on computers. He also loved his two cats, Bell and Pistol, who both brought much joy and happiness to his life.
David was born February 19, 1952, in Blytheville, AR, to the late Burl Mahan and the late Vivian J. Jones Mahan.
He leaves behind one brother, Carter Mahan of Buchanan, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Kevin Donald Mahan; and many relatives that loved him very much.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Steve Gallimore officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Walker, Josh Swindoll, Todd Mahan, Spencer Trent, Glenn Gentile, and Rick Moody.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Walker Cemetery.
