David Simpson Feageans, age 93, died Friday, November 3, 2017, at the Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
Born May 13, 1924, in Gretna, VA, he was the son to the late Norman David Feageans and the late Ida Simpson Feageans.
David was a former owner of Normandy Beauty School in Jacksonville, Florida, for many years until he retired. He joined the U.S. Navy and served in WWII as Navy pilot in the Pacific Theater. He loved to fly light weight aircrafts. He enjoyed playing golf and dancing.
David is survived by one son: Norman Feageans and wife Leisa of Puryear, TN,; two grandchildren: Matthew O. Feageans and wife Brittany of Columbia, TN and Shonna Poteete and husband Nolan of Paris, TN; and three great grandchildren: Grayson Feageans, Lilly Feageans and Isabella Poteete.
Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by three sisters, Bural Feageans, Mildred Fox and Faye Gilbert; and one brother: Lance Feageans.
Mr. Feageans’ remains will be returned to Gretna for burial in Gretna Burial Park, in Gretna, VA.
