David Francis Cales

David Francis Cales, age 65 of Springville, TN, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.

He retired from Navistar in Indianapolis, IN.  David was a Mason, Scottish Rite, and a Shriner.  He loved fishing, was a hot rodder, an avid collector of Hot wheels, and a talented artist.

David was born August 8, 1957, in Greenfield, IN, to the late Calvin F. Cales and the late Betty Rose Gaskins Cales.

He was married September 16, 1982, to Joy Whiddon Cales, who survives, of Springville, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Katie Melissa (Patrick) Lucas of Maxwell, IN, and Lyndsey (Joe Brewer) Cales of Greenfield, IN; one brother, Jospeh (Marcia) Cales of Fairland, IN; and six grandchildren, Spencer, Alexander, Lexani, Madison, Gracie, and Jaxon. 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
