David Benson

David Sherrill Benson, age 70, of Henry, Tenn., died Monday, November 30, 2015, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
David was a retired Matco Tool Distributor and an avid bass fisherman. He also loved deer hunting, baseball, and Nascar. His favorite teams were the Atlanta Braves, Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Hurricanes. He was locally connected to the Robert C. Parker family in the VanDyke community.
He was born June 30, 1945 in St. Louis, MO to the late Marshall Sherrill Benson and Vera Winkler Thompson of Palmetto, FL.
He was married September 14, 1968 to Sheryl Louise Rutter Benson and she survives. Along with his wife and mother, he is also survived by his Two Sons, David Alan (Judy) Benson of Lake Helen, Fla, Darin Robert Benson of Sanford, Fla; Two Sisters, Linda (Lynn) Wade of Tampa, Fla, Karen Ann (Steve) Dargan of Houston, Texas; Grandchildren, Justin Cole Benson, Lauren Taylor Benson, Ashley Hope (Ryan) Bruton, Ethan Christopher Benson, Aubree Grace Benson, and Bradley Alexander Benson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Thursday, December 3, 2015 and from 12 - 1:30 pm Friday, December 4, 2015. The Funeral Service will be held Graveside at VanDyke Church of Christ Cemetery at 2:00 pm Friday, December 4, 2015.
Ray Whitlow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ryan Bruton, Charles Parker, Robert Earl Parker, Jeff Loines, Luke Scarborough, and Tim Barcroft.
Interment will be at VanDyke Church of Christ Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
