Darwin Robert Werz, 66, of Buchanan died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Paris Health Care Center.
He was a Retired Yellow Freight mechanic and driver.
His wife, Margaret Lucille “Peggy” Manley Werz, survives. They were married on April 16, 1965.
His body was cremated.
A celebration of life is planned from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Paris Landing Senior Citizen Center.
Ridgeway Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Born Sept. 6, 1946, in Bloomington, Ind., he was the son of the late Arthur Albert and Mary Lucetta Rademacher Werz.
He retired from Yellow Freight in 2000. His wife said he enjoyed motorcycles and riding them and was an amateur ham radio operator.
He also leaves one daughter: Cynthia Kay Jones of Speedway, Ind.; one sister: Deborah Ann Reese of Roanoke, Ind.; two grandchildren: Anthony Chad Brown of Bloomington and Creedence Klett Jones of Speedway; and a nephew: Cale Matthew Reese of Fort Wayne, Ind.
