Darrel Coleman

Former Henry Countian, James Darrel Coleman, age 73 of Friendship, TN, died Friday, September 14, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

He was the former owner of Industrial Bearing and Farm Supply in Paris.  He was a member of Foundry Hill Community of Christ.  Darrel was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Kansas and Germany during the Vietnam Era.  He was a member of the honor guard who took part in the funeral service for President Dwight D. Eisenhower, where he fired the cannons during the 21-gun salute.  He was a millwright and enjoyed working in his shop.  He also enjoyed motorcycle-riding and restoring antiques.

Darrel was born April 26, 1945, in Palmersville, TN, to the late Lexie Coleman and the late Merrell Cooper Coleman.

He was married March 31, 2001, to Debbie Lynn McGee Coleman, who survives, of Friendship, TN.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Scott (Tammy) Coleman of Clarksville, TN, and Rusty (Jennifer) Coleman of Paris, TN; one stepdaughter, Brittney Burnett of Friendship, TN; two sisters, Barbara Lemonds of Paris, TN, and Carolyn Carraway of Hazel, KY; and eight grandchildren, Hunter Marrs, Bryce Coleman, Ivy Coleman Scott, Justin Coleman, Jacobi Ballard, Addi Burnett, Quentin Burnett, and Tyler Coleman.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Tuesday, September 18, 2018, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Gary Collier officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Isbell, Quentin Burnett, Paul Tanner, Bryce Coleman, Justin Coleman, Skip Lemonds, Kenny Nance, and Brent McClard

Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
