Curtis Bascom Maddox, age 94, of Olive Branch, Miss., went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born January 18, 1921 in Weakley Co, TN to the late Bascom Maddox and the late Mattie Hays Maddox.
He was married March 10, 1955 to Earline Patterson Maddox and she survives.
Curtis was a longtime member of the Paris Church of God of Prophecy, and was a member of Abundant Grace Ministries in Collierville, TN. He retired after 34 years as inspector at Holley Carburetor Plant and formerly worked for Hot Shot Freight in Paris, TN. He was also a WW II Army Veteran who served in Germany and France.
Along with his wife Earline, he is also survived by One Daughter, Vicki (David) Wier of Olive Branch, Miss; One Son, Gary W. (Jill) Maddox of Hernando, Miss.; Four Grandchildren, Joshua (Andrea) Maddox, Kayla (Danny) Mayfield, Courtney Wier, and Zack Wier; Three Great Grandchildren, Taylor Dawn Maddox, Levi Johnson Maddox, and Maddox Leon Mayfield; and Several Nieces & Nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a Son, Charles Curtis Maddox; Five Sisters, Pauline Medlock, Cecil Holden, Mirl Medlock, Lorine Hooper, and Bertha Freeman; Four Brothers, Romey Maddox, Raymond Maddox, Quitman Maddox, Roy Maddox, and four other siblings in infancy.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2015.
Robbie Wier and Hilton Austin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joshua Maddox, Zack Wier, Danny Mayfield, Allen Briggs, Blake Paschall, and Dennis Watts.
Interment will be at Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, Tenn.
